This video will literally take your breath away by its stunning beauty of nature, life and the wisdom that it conveys. In the first part of video the cinematographer Louie Schwartzberg speaks about the work of his life. His words about his youth and passion for nature´s beauty are as beautiful as the images that he shares with us. Just his speech alone is a treasure that provokes our thoughts. And then he lets us see his movie about gratitude. And… we are left speechless. So powerful is its beauty and message.
The useful Nine Life Lessons are given by a veteran rock climber Matthew Childs. His tips are important for successful rock climbing, and are true for the successful life on the flat ground as well. These lessons are applicable for work and for private life. They are valuable lessons to keep in mind no matter what it is that you do and want to succeed at.
This funny animation movie is such an excellent example about the BEHAVIOR OF CROWD and its attitude towards somebody who is different. It is also a great example of an individual BEING DIFFERENT and being completely cool and fine about it… This video is full of valuable insights. It is genius!
When I watched it for the first time I could not help but smile about the fantastic message it carries. I was thinking about having seen it countless times happening in the real life when it was performed by real people.
Have you ever been given the priceless lesson? That kind of gift when life gives you high five. In the face. With a brick.
You are in pain. You are shocked. You are down, lost and do not know how to go on. You wonder if you should go on at all. You even question yourself if you did right when you dared to move into direction of your dreams.
You see, I know what I am talking about. It was my face from which I peeled off that high-five-brick. When I recovered from the first shock, I searched for the solution how to deal with the pain and looked for strength to get up and to go on.
This was my ACTION PLAN. Maybe it helps you too…
Have you asked yourself the primary question about your life: “WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH WHAT YOU´VE BEEN GIVEN?” What if you ask this question yourself now and keep repeating it during the day, throughout the weekend or next few days, and stay open for the answers that you get.
“What do you have that you have been given? Talent, background, education, freedom, networks, opportunities, wealth, ideas, creativity…”
Whatever the answers you get, keep in mind that “…God smiles when YOU BE YOU“.
“WHAT?! Buy happiness with money?! How disgusting and sick is that?! It is well known that happiness can´t be bought with money…” Are these the words that were floating in your mind when you read the title of this article? Or did you think something like: “Yeah, yeah, what else – buy happiness with money… So, where´s the catch of this weird statement?”
In this is 11 minutes long video Michael Norton shares the results of surprising research on how one can, indeed, buy happiness with money. And you don´t need to be rich to be able to buy (enough) happiness.
British philosopher Alan Watts has a wonderful talk about what we should focus on when deciding on how to spend the life. He asks: “How would you really enjoy spending your life?” His message is somewhat similar to the message of professor Larry Smith who teaches how not to waste life when deciding what life to choose.
There are nice pearls of wisdom in this short 3 minutes video with Watt´s talk – becoming a master, being an example to others, living a life that is full of meaning. His talk certainly will make you think deeper about your own life.
Thank you, Lauri, for bringing this great video to our attention!
We buy Stuff. We own Stuff. We get rid of Stuff. AND… Stuff gets produced. Stuff gets sold to us. Stuff owns us. Stuff decreases the quality of our lives and well being.
How about finding out the True Story of Stuff, so we know better and do better. At the end, there is only One Planet we all have and share.
Last weekend this movie helped us to take an honest look at our stuff acquiring and owning habits. It helped us to make some better decisions about how we want to handle stuff from now on. If you would like to know what were our considerations – read on…
Let´s start this new week by educating ourselves about something very important that our lives and well being may depend on at some point in our lives – the dangers of the drugs that doctors prescribe to us and our children.
When we watched this talk by Ben Goldacre (he works as an academic in epidemiology) we were shocked about the terrifying truth of how misleading and dangerous is the information that doctors follow when they make their decisions about drug prescriptions.
Good morning Friends!
It´s Friday! Isn´t it Ah! So! Great!?! It certainly is so here by us! 🙂 We hope you had a productive working week and look forward to enjoying your weekend! Wanna have more fun? Read our crazy offer BELOW the video…
This talk by inspiring brain scientist Jill Bolte Taylor is about her own brain stroke that took eight years to recover her ability to think (how crazy is that?!), walk and talk. She shares very valuable and interesting insights from this experience.
Friends, it´s a new week and it asks for something positive. We think that this song “If You Want to Sing Out, Sing Out” by Cat Stevens (now Yusuf Islam) is exactly that – freeing, positive, and also – has a deep meaning.
We are big fans of this song and play it at our home quite often. In fact – there have been days when we needed to focus on what was important for us while making big decisions for our life, and then we had this song on “repeat”. It went on and on for couple of hours… Yes, now you know it – we are that weird.
